Camping Torrenostra, is located in Torrenostra, a population center located on the coast of the municipality of Torreblanca, located less than five hundred meters from a beach deserving every season of the distinctive blue flag for the quality of its waters and numerous services.
For more than fifty years, the campsite has been operating uninterruptedly, specifically the opening date is August 1966 with the corresponding municipal license and authorization by the Directorate General of Business and Tourist Activities of the then Ministry of Information and Tourism, under the name of Camping Torrenostra.
Since its opening in 1966, it has remained open all year round, not only during the summer season, thus providing a permanent service to its customers, and making it possible for them to stay outside the summer period, either on weekends or for longer periods.
It is located within the Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca Natural Park, declared as such in 1989, and subsequently developed by the “Plan de Ordenación de los Recursos Naturales y Rector de Uso y Gestión del Parque Natural del Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca”. It occupies the Service Area, a space destined to the infrastructure related to tourist-recreational activities. It is also very close to two other Natural Parks, such as the Sierra de Irta and the Desierto de las Palmas.
The characteristic that makes it a unique establishment is that on the one hand it is next to beaches of exceptional quality (blue flag…), and on the other hand, the fact that it is within a natural park, with all that this implies and supposes.
Logically, throughout all these years the campsite has not been standing still, but has been continuously renewing, expanding and improving all its facilities in order to provide the best service to its customers, and it is with this objective in mind that it has always worked. As an example, we indicate some of the latest complementary actions to the camping service itself:
Members of Ashotur, Provincial Association of Hospitality and Tourism Businessmen of Castellón, being awarded in February 2005 for their seniority, links and participation in this association.
In August 2014 is inaugurated by the President of La Gerneralitat Valenciana Alberto Fabra, the “Centro BTT Costa de Azahar”, the first that is located on the coast, and is located in the Camping Torrenostra itself, with all the services and information required.
Since 2015, the campsite has been licensed to use the “Parcs Naturals de la Comunitat Valenciana” trademark, with the corresponding audits being carried out periodically.
The campsite, since 2022 is part of the “Integral System of Spanish Tourist Quality in Destination” (SICTED), having the distinctive “Commitment to Tourist Quality” with what this implies in terms of control and quality of service provided, with the corresponding reports being made annually.
The campsite has been part of the “Associació Torreblanquina D’Empresaris Turístics” since 2022, when it was founded.
Since June 2023, the Torrenostra campsite has been part of the network of establishments certified by VIAJES 4 PATAS.
The campsite is currently working to obtain the S Sustainable Tourism certification.
